Our team of WordPress specialists have been developing, maintaining, and hosting websites for over 10 years.

We offer risk-free, cancel at any time, month to month or annual billing for our hosting plans because we are so confident that you’ll love our managed care. All clients that sign up for annual billing will also receive a 5% discount off of the hosting plan. Select annual billing at checkout and we will automatically take 5% off your bill.

Great question. Our Managed WordPress Hosting does not included email services. If your email service is with your current host, you have a couple of options for email. You can keep using your current email if you’re happy with it. If you’re not happy or are looking for an excellent email service upgrade, we recommend using G Suite as your email provider. Our team members will be happy to assist with setup if you decide to go with G Suite.

Our migration fee is a one-time fee that is used to cover the cost of everything that is included with moving your website from your current host, to our servers. This fee includes: Setting up a new install on our servers, coordinating the migration with your team, transferring your website to our servers, testing and setup on the new environment, staging site creation, SFTP setup, adding you to our monthly maintenance schedule, and finally, completing any DNS changes that need to happen to complete the transfer. The migration fee only applies to websites that Skyhook did not develop, or websites that are already live on a different server.

There are very few cases for which we would recommend choosing a shared hosting plan at any of the larger hosts.

Full access. After the website is live, we will add you to the customer portal. From the customer portal you can access your backups, database, domains, CDN, redirect rules, error logs, SFTP users, SSL’s, etc…

Our hosting plan fees are per install / per database and come with a wide range of benefits that you don’t get with a normal shared hosting plan. To add a new install, all you would need to do is select a plan above, provide us details on the new website, and complete the registration. We’ll have your new install up and running in no time.

The Plus plan is required for a single Multisite install. Each additional site you add to your network will require a $25 add-on fee per month. For example, the cost to host 1 Multisite install with 3 extra network websites would be $149 for the Plus plan + $75 in add-ons, for a total of $224 per month. This fee is required to help offset the cost of the additional resources and maintenance needed to support your Multisite network as it continues to grow.

The Personal, Professional, and Business plans that WP Engine offers can be a great solution for some clients. Our Managed WordPress Hosting solution is perfect for clients who want best-in-class hosting and a team to help them keep their website up and running smoothly.

Once you have selected a plan and completed our billing process, one of our team members will reach out to you for the following information:

  • Migration Date – when would you like your website moved?
  • WordPress Admin Access – you can either share your login credentials or create a new admin account for us. Please use:
    • Username: skyhook
    • Email Address: support@skyhookmarketing.com
  • FTP or cPanel Access – we need this information to transfer your website files.
  • Domain Registrar Access – we need this information to update your DNS records when the move is complete. This is where your domain is registered. If you’re unsure, you can use this free tool to find out. If you’re uncomfortable giving us access to make these changes, no problem. Just let us know that you will be handling these updates yourself and we will provide you with the records at the appropriate time.

You can submit tickets for anything that can be completed on your website in 2 hours or less. Content updates, PDF uploads, menu updates, image updates, small design changes, and plugin installs are just a few examples. We make it easy to submit a ticket to our team by email or phone.  After your request is received, one of our team members will review it and follow up with you if there are any questions or if it falls outside of the 2-hour range.

  • If the ticket is in range and we have all the details needed to complete the request, we will complete the work and follow up with you once it’s done.
  • Don’t worry if the ticket will take us longer than 2 hours to complete. We’ll respond with a quote for your approval on the overage, and give you the option to pull from your accrued balance or to make a one-time payment.
